Local Attractions

On the Fells - Walking and cycling in and around this famous area of Yorkshire. The Three Peaks, The Penine Way and The Ribble Way all pass within a mile of the Farm. There are many guide books available for interesting shorter walks.

Underground - Caving in natural and show caves such as White Scar, Ingleborough, Attamire and Victoria.

Horton has two public houses, The Crown and The Golden Lion, both of which serve meals, a village store/post office and the Pen-y-Ghent Cafe which is also the local Information Centre. Horton is a station on the Settle to Carlisle Railway line. A local company offers guided activities.

Settle is five miles away and has two supermarkets, a wide range of shops, garages, pubs, restaurants, takeaway food outlets and banks. It also has a local museum, swimming baths and an outdoor market on Tuesdays. The Yorkshire Dales Falconry Centre is nearby.

Ingleton has a Friday market and many facilities to offer. It also has Ingleborough above, some of the finest caves below, Ingleton Waterfalls and good fishing in the local rivers.

Hawes has all the amenities of a busy market town plus the Wensleydale Cheese Factory, the Hawes Ropemaker and the Dales Countryside Museum. Hardraw Force is nearby.

Skipton holds its outdoor market four days a week. Its many points of interest include Skipton Castle, the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
